The day started very early (shocker, I know.). The photo to the left was actually taken at 8:45 a.m...the boys were already on their first nap. We made a quick stop to Starbucks and then headed over to Amanda's (one of my best friends since high school) place so that we could meet baby Kaius Xavier (born on June 28, 2010). What a handsome boy! He is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen, and he slept for the entire 3 hours we were visiting (I'm sure Amanda was cursing us when we left!). Angus and Henry were constantly touching his feet and trying to rock his swing, and he remained a sleepy, happy little guy. So precious! We had a good visit, and then headed back to Dad and Jan's for the afternoon. The neighbours loaned us a kiddie pool, which the boys enjoyed immensely. Later on that afternoon, Henry and I went to one of the best Shoppers Drug Marts I have ever seen. The cosmetic boutique had everything from Benefit and Christian Dior to Smashbox and Bourjois. Incredible. Didn't buy anything, though. I really don't think that the boys care at this point whether I'm sporting L'Oreal or Stilla. Who am I kidding? I barely have time to apply lip gloss these days. When I return to work on August 5th after having completed my 1 year maternity leave, I'll have to take a make-up refresher. And hair refresher. And...what do you mean I can't wear a tank top and jersey-knit skirt to work?? Ryan phoned later on in the evening to say that he wanted to do the drive home with us and that he was switching his flight to Ottawa! Yippee!! The only downside was that we were going to have to leave on Saturday morning, first thing. Boooo. That leaves us only one more day...TODAY'S GRADE: A++
